Yamaha XV 1600 Road Star Review

This cruiser-type bike is otherwise popular as Yamaha Road Star or Yamaha XV 1600 Road Star and has some very advanced technology and state-of-art-engineering that ushered in a whole new world of comfortable cruising and so you can be rest assured of a rumbling riding experience.

In Europe, the cruiser is referred to as Yamaha Wildstar. Just pick up any gear of the Yamaha Road Star, and roll on its throttle, you will know and you can feel the difference, be it dynamism, power or acceleration, no other sports machine can match it. Thus, it thundered into the streets and highways with its retro style and high-powered torque.

Looks wise the Yamaha XV 1600 Road Star is a rolling work of art with a perfect blend of modern style with conventional design work. It is the layout of the cockpit that reflects comfort and relaxation for its rider. However, the look, feel and appeal of Yamaha Road Star reflect excessive power, unmatched torque and ferocious acceleration. It is one of the most gorgeous motorcycles and all bike lovers would love to own it once in their lifetime.

Performance wise this XV 1600 has a 1600cc, V-twin air-cooled engine power that pumps out maximum torque for brisk acceleration and overall great cruising performance. The engine features an electric starter, improved valve system, air-induction system, cooling fins, camshafts and rocker arms. These features only add up to provide enhanced performance and functionality. The engine is located in the long and low chassis and it pumps out power of approximately 46.3 KW at 4000 rpm while the maximum torque is 134 Nm @2250 rpm. The suspension at the frontal side is equipped with telescopic forks while the rear suspension system is swinging type. Ask me about the brakes in this high-speed vehicle? It is equipped with 298mm brakes in the front with calipers of 4-piston, while the rear disc brakes are of 320mm. The stopping power is phenomenal and driving XV 1600 had been a sheer pleasure; I have driven it short as well as on highways, and would say that the ergonomic is spacious and comfortable.

There is nothing more to say about this cruiser as it was rightfully voted as “1999 Cruiser Bike of the Year”. If you are a ready for a Yamaha Roadstar, get your hands on XV1600 as it has redefined biking industry undoubtedly with advanced engineering technology and not very high in pricing, no wonder bike lovers from all across the world are attracted to this elegant looking cruiser.
